Comment:

 The command that is bound to the F1 (and F2 for the stats) hast to be
 OverlayGroup toggleVisibility instead of OverlayGroup show.
 This however doesn't hold for the PickupInventory or the QuestGUI, since
 they are implemented in CEGUI, where the second console command to toggle
 cannot be executed.
